I am Cindy McCarn, artist, residing in Brady, TX.  I recently retired from the teaching profession having devoted many hours in the 30 years of teaching to helping children.  Over those years, I taught preschoolers through eighth graders.   Each of those classes was a joy to teach, and I am proud to have been a part of that profession.

I enjoy spending time with my husband. We have two married sons and two grandchildren.  Each of these people is very precious to me.

My interests include traveling, reading, gardening, photography and art activities.

Acrylic is my choice of medium. I paint on watercolor paper, artist canvas, and wood.  Several people have commented, “I never knew that you painted.” or “How can you decide what to paint?”  To answer those questions; I would have to say that first, I have always enjoyed dabbling in paint, but my family and teaching career were priorities.  Now, that I have more unscheduled time, I can pursue other things that I enjoy doing.  As to what to paint, I follow whims and subjects that I like.  Most of the things that I paint are subjects from God’s beautiful world of nature.

One other question has been, “Where in the world did you get the name for your business?”  CLSM Art stands for my initials (Cindy Lou Sorensen McCarn) and what I enjoy doing. Various suggestions have been made.  Such as CL Smart and CLS Mart.  I guess they all come out as the same, but I plan to stick with CLSM Art!
